Carmen Rae Sweetwood, age 75, of Keshena, Wisconsin made her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Her parents were, Mary (Menore) and Thomas “Snub” Kitson, Sr. She was the baby of the house and was treated as such. This strong foundation helped guide her lifelong journey of raising children. She didn’t have biological children herself, but she was a mother to all her nieces and nephews. Auntie was well known for making her Princess Tea and beautiful earrings. The powwow trail was one of her favorite places to be, as well as the casino. She will be deeply missed.

Carmen leaves behind her lifelong partner, Leo Long; special daughter, Sami Jo; special niece, Layla Rose; special grandson, Allekin Webster; and fur baby, Chewy. She is further survived by special nieces and nephews that she raised throughout the years, as well as other relatives and friends.

Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas “Snub”, Sr., and Mary Kitson; siblings, Gloria (Rodger) House, Frances “Ducky” (Dort) Kitson, Thomas “Buddy” (Gladys) Kitson, Jr., Joyce (Gilbert) Brunette and Roger “Pete” Kitson.

Private immediate family services were held.
