Carol Clark Carol Clark, age 49 of Shawano, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home after a six year battle with cancer. Born on February 28, 1964 in Fond du Lac, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Larsen) Clark. After graduating from high school, Carol furthered her education by receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and later a certificate in special education. She worked as a special education teacher at Oconto Middle school, Pulaski High School, Oconto Falls High School, Gresham and most recently at Olga Brener Intermediary School in Shawano. Her love of teaching didn't stop when the bell rang at the end of day. She continued by coaching soccer and basketball at the high school level and not only enjoyed attending the sporting events of her children, but those of her students as well. When not at work, Carol devoted as much time as she could to her beloved family. Her greatest passion in life was being a loving mother and a proud grandmother. To her children she was one of the most beloved people to ever cross this earth. Carol will also be remembered for her selfless devotion to helping improve the lives of others. Her quiet and gentle kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She had an extreme passion for children and her loving personality and great sense of humor made her an outstanding teacher who touched not only the lives of the children she worked with directly, but also those simply in her presence. Carol is survived by: her 3 children, Jordan (fiancé, Bryan Irsik) Veness of NE, Pvt. Lucas Veness, Hannah Boucher; a grandchild, BryLee; her parents; John and Mary Clark; and 2 brothers, Jon (Winnifred) Clark of AZ and David (Wendy) Clark of NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the 1st United Methodist Church in Menominee, MI. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
