Obituary

Carol Grosskreutz, age 61, of Shawano, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 after a courageous two year battle with cancer, during which her faith and trust in God never wavered. Born in Milwaukee on April 15, 1956 Carol is the daughter of the late Luther and Shirley (Waite) Goode.  On March 13, 1976 Carol was united in marriage to Jerry Grosskreutz at the United Methodist Church in Shawano. She worked in the health care field for many years and was a generous, compassionate woman, always putting others before herself.  Her faith and her family were the most important parts of her life.  In her free time Carol enjoyed learning about history and anything outdoors, especially camping.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Carol loved and was loved by: her husband of 41 years, Jerry; two children, Stacy (Mick) Kurland and Justin (Alicia Kuehl) Grosskreutz both of Appleton; three grandchildren, Skylar, Maximillion, and Fynnleigh; as well as other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service for Carol will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at River Valley Church in Shawano with Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
