Carol Jean Kristof, age 87, passed away on Monday February 20, 2023, in Shawano. She was born on June 24, 1935, to the late James and Lena (Kadletz) Kristof, in Leopolis. Carol graduated from Marion High School in 1953. Carol enrolled in to the first surgical technical class offered at Northeast Green Bay Technical College. She worked at St. Vincent's Hospital, the former Cantwell and Peterson Clinic, and the former Shawano Clinic until retiring in 1997. Carol enjoyed golfing, fishing at the family cottage, and was a good cook. She loved going on vacations with her sister Rita to Mexico, Hawaii and taking bus trips often including her friends. Carol spent most of her life in Leopolis. She was very involved in her community and her church. Carol was on the Leopolis Booster Club, Leopolis Homemakers, Pastoral Council and Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid fan of Leopolis Bulldog baseball watching her brothers, nephews, great nephews, great-great nephew and great-great niece. Carol was inducted into the Leopolis Hall of Fame as a fan. She loved watching Green Bay Packers, Brewers, and golf on tv.

Carol is survived by her sister, Rita Kristof of Shawano; many nieces and nephews; her special friends, Rhonda Thurman, Mary Mauel and Rene Sumnicht.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena; her siblings, Allen Kristof, Doris Neville, Elizabeth "Betty" Dieck and Floyd Kristof; her nieces and nephews, Frank Kristof, John Kristof, Tom Kristof, Jim Dieck, Laura Neville, and Patricia F. Kristof.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Leopolis, with Father Timothy Machila officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2023, at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, then again from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church.
