Obituary

Carol M. Schardt, age 89, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home. Born on May 22, 1927 in Clintonville, she is the daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Schertz) Nass. On September 20, 1947, Carol was united in marriage to William E. Schardt in Clintonville. William preceded her in death on September 6, 2005. She worked at K&G Sport Shop and as a waitress at Lee's. Carol enjoyed bowling in her Wednesday night league. She was a member at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.

Carol is survived by: her children, Richard (Pat) Schardt of Shawano, Susan (Kent) Wall of Shawano and William "Skeeter" (special friend, Jami Schultz) Schardt, Jr. of Black Creek; five grandchildren, Lori, Loni, Jenny, Kevin and Blaze; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Haley, Jalen, Summit, Mesa and Riley; two great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Middleton and Bernadine (Charles) Knaack; one brother-in-law, Edward "Bud" Schardt as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; two brothers, Lawrence and Vilas Nass; and two sisters, Viola Seeger and Lorraine Laatsch.

Funeral services for Carol will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Timm Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will held at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
