Caroline K. Hubatch, age 86 of Shawano, died on Monday, October 14, 2013. Born on November 7, 1926 in Dodge County, she is the daughter of the late Jacob and Caroline (Auck) Pieffle. She worked for Chrysler Outboard in Hartford for many years. Caroline was united in marriage to Dale Hanson, who preceded her in death. She later married Curtis Bender, who also preceded her in death. On May 16, 1981, Caroline married Albert W. Hubatch who died on June 12, 2001. She liked cooking, baking and playing games on her computer, but she especially enjoyed gambling at the local casino once managing to spend 15 hours there due to "fog rolling in". Caroline is survived by: her children, Geraldine "Geri" (Glen) Kurth of Marshfield, Donald (Mary Lou) Bender of Hartford, Debra (Michael) Bauer of Hartford, Dawn (Daniel) Dowske of Franklin; step-son, Kenneth (Phyllis) Hubatch of Cedarburg; 10 grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands; step-son, Ronald Raymond Hubatch; 2 grandchildren; and 13 siblings. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center West and North Chapel in Brookfield.
