Obituary

Carolyn "Sis" Collins, age 68 of Gresham, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at her home. Born on March 7, 1944 in Joliet, IL, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. "Skip" and Beryl (Putnam) Schwab, Jr. Carolyn had lived in the Gresham area since 1983 and worked at the NorthStar Casino for the past 15 years. She served as organist at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham and The Lutheran Church of the Wilderness, Bowler. In her free time, she enjoyed woodcarving and doing artwork. On April 4, 1964 she was united in marriage to Charles M. Collins. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1988. Carolyn is survived by: her daughter, Seana (Keith) Gorski; her 2 sons, Patrick Collins, Michael (Kristine) Collins; 2 granddaughters, Teray Collins, Macy Collins; 3 grandsons, Dean, Alexander and Joseph Collins; a brother, Dale Schwab; and 2 nephews, Henry and Richard Schwab. Carolyn was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles; her son, Timothy Collins; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday after 9:30am until the time of the service.
