Carroll P. Stephens, age 86 of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 20, 2011. Born on October 26, 1925 in Peekskill, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Wilhelmina (Warm) Conway. She married Roy Stephens, Sr. on February 11, 1945 in Fort Pierce, FL. Roy preceded her in death on November 17, 1998. Carroll had lived in Waukegan until retiring and moving to the Keshena and Shawano areas in 1972. Survivors include: 2 sons, Dr. Roy L. Stephens, Jr. of Keshena, Thomas P. Stephens of Arkansas; her 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Cpt. Justin, Alexis, Tom, Alanna; a step-grandson, José Trevino; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clifford (Anna) Conway, Jr. of Lubbock, TX; and 2 sisters, Irene Rothfus of New York and Chris Reese of Hartford, CT. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy; and a grandson, Jason. Private family services will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.
