Catherine Ann Shegonee, age 62, passed away in her home on Thursday, July 30th, 2026. Cathy was born in Green Bay and was adopted at nine months old by the Hartwig family.

She attended Sacred Heart School and lived in Shawano until moving to Milwaukee to work with the elderly. Cathy also provided Medical transportation for Medicaid while she was there. She returned to her hometown in the early months of 2026. Even though life handed her many challenges she DoorDashed until she was physically unable to drive any more.

Her family was very important to her. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends especially by her beloved dog and dedicated companion “Champ” who stayed by her side until her passing day.

A memorial prayer service & fire will take place at 11 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Parish, located at N8786 B1A RTE 431, Neopit, WI on Saturday, Sept. 26th, 2026.
