Cecil Reedy, age 85 of Gresham, passed away September 1, 2014. He was born on February 8, 1929 to the late George and Elenore (Schoenfeld) Reedy. On December 12, 1950 Cecil enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for 2 years before being honorably discharged. On July 11, 1959, Cecil was united in marriage to Esther Buth. He was a musician and played in many bands. He also taught music at the Gresham School. In his free time, Cecil enjoyed hunting and fishing. Cecil is survived by: his loving wife, Esther of Gresham; his children, Linda (Martin) Shadd of Milwaukee, Michael Reedy of Milwaukee, Karen Reedy of Gresham, Paul (Teresa) Reedy of Stoughton and David Reedy of Shawano. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with the Rev. Bernard officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Leopolis.
