Charlene W. Mattern, age 80 of South Branch, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Suring. Born on February 3, 1931 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Mary (Waupoose) Warrington. On December 26, 1996 she was united in marriage to William L. Mattern. Charlene worked as a Communications Specialist for Sumitomo Corp. of America in Chicago for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Charlene is survived by: her daughter, Dawn (Robert) Tashiro of Torrance, CA; her son, William Mattern of Shawano; a son-in-law, Edward Ferrier of Chicago; 7 grandchildren, Edward Ferrier, Jr., Robert Ferrier, Samantha Hill, Cody Hill, Elizabeth Tashiro, Leah Barten, Nicholas Mattern; 2 brothers, Hilary "Luke" (Annette) Warrington of Hortonville, Cornelius "Neil" (Helen) Warrington of Chicago; and a sister, Valerie (Pasquale) D'Anna of Suring. Charlene was preceded in death by: 2 daughters, Yvette Faust, Lynelle Ferrier; her parents; and 5 siblings, Norman Warrington, Casimer Warrington, Carol Warrington, Donald Warrington and Jacqueline Warrington.
