Charles W. Bartz, age 77, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1944, to the late Walter and Irene (Vomastic) Bartz in Shawano. Charles graduated from Shawano High School in 1963. He lived all his life in the Town of Pella where he farmed. Charles was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Betsy" Pevonka on February 2, 1963 until her passing on December 2, 2003. On April 28, 2007, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Jung. Charles was on the board of Pella Insurance and was Chairman for the Town of Pella board for twenty years.  He enjoyed hunting and loved watching "Mollie B Polka Party" in his spare time. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Hermansfort.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Lee (Lisa), Jeff "Goose" (Bobbi), and Todd (Jenny); stepchildren, Tom (Jayna) Jung, Amy (Gary) Schabow, and Julie (Matt) Koehler; grandchildren, Leeann Bartz, Kent (fiancée Sam) Bartz, Lindsay (Rigo) Rebolledo, Whitney Bartz, Alec Bartz, and Ayden Bartz; step-grandchildren, Sam (Melissa), Tyler (Brittney), Misti (Logan), Shae (Adam), Destiny (Thomas), Tommi Jo (Tyler), Stu (Sam), Jake (Ali), Matti, and Markus; great-grandchildren, Lyte, Skie, Easton, Charlee, Kaylee, Jaxon, Rigo, Starlito, Jeovonni, Sofia, and Caden. He is further survived by several step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his first wife "Betsy", his parents, his son Scott, and one sister Ruth Beyer.

A funeral service for Charles will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church Hermansfort with Rev. Steve Conradt officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral home in Shawano and also at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church until the time of service.
