Charlotte Claire Johnson, age 5, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in Shawano. Charlotte was born on February 15, 2021, in Shawano to Cruz P. and Erin K. (Popovich) Johnson. She was looking forward to attending kindergarten in the fall. Charlotte enjoyed riding her four-wheeler, swimming, seeing rainbows and being with her big brother, Brantley. Her favorite animals were foxes and butterflies, her favorite color was blue, and her favorite word was “no”. Charlotte was her mother, Erin’s shadow and loved being with her at all times. She loved her two dogs, Brutus and Winnie and cat, Chowder. Charlotte enjoyed watching Bluey, Kpop Demon Hunters and was a huge fan of Caitlin Clark. She was the boss of the household and was stubborn like her daddy. Charlotte had a smile and laughter that lit up the room. She always had a bunch of questions and needed all the answers. Charlotte always gave the best hugs and kisses. She made sure it was known that she loved everyone whenever they left. Charlotte was a wonderful little girl who lit up everyone’s lives, she will be deeply missed and be in our hearts forever.

Charlotte is survived by her parents, Cruz and Erin Johnson; brother, Brantley Johnson; grandparents, Tedd (Abbie) Nadler, Sue Johnson, Frank (Li) Popovich and Renee (Gena) Popovich; great-grandparents, LaVerne Burmester and Joan and Frank Popovich, Sr.; Kerry (Brandon) Vetrone, special aunts and uncles, Ally (Jake) Schabow, Katie (Josh) Szyka, Travis Nadler, Alex Nadler, Jenson Nadler, Austin Johnson, Natasha Johnson, Josh (Sassie) Kiel, Jade (Dylan) Billington, Brian Goodreau, Jesse (Candy) Goodreau, Bronson (Dartania) Huntington, Teri Jones, Tianshu, Chris (Adrianne) Matson, Rodney (Michelle) Siegfried and Keith (Rita) Kort. She is further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Charlotte is preceded in death by grandpa, John Goodreau; great-grandpa, Ernest Nadler; great-grandma, Mary Nadler; great-uncles, Tom Goodreau, Bob Popovich, and Terry Rudnik; and cousin, Ben Frank.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the funeral home starting at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm then again on Wednesday, from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
