Charmaine Lavonne Olson, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Charmaine was born in the Town of Wescott, Shawano County on October 20, 1931, to the late Walter and Anna (Opperman) Kunschke. On June 3, 1950, Charmaine was united in marriage to Verlyn L. Olson at Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass. Verlyn preceded her in death on April 22, 2006. Throughout the years Charmaine worked at Mirro Aluminum, Schultz's 5 & Dime Store, Qualheim's, and the family Christmas Tree Farm before retiring. She adored her beloved dog and "favorite child", Sweetie, who was her constant companion. Charmaine was a nature lover and enjoyed bird watching.  She also enjoyed collecting antiques and attending auctions. First and foremost, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Charmaine had a strong Christian faith and was a faithful member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lunds and then of Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino where she was involved in quilting, the Ladies Aid, and teaching Sunday School. She was also a member of the Lunds Sno-Birds, the Navarino Nature Center, the Red Wing Collectors Society, and Bluebird Restoration Association of Wisconsin.

Charmaine is survived by: her five children Valerie (Luis) "Nick" Santoni, Randy (Valerie) Olson, Kelvin (Joanne) Olson, Kenton (Tricia) Olson, and Pastor Darren (Brenda) Olson; grandchildren, Temple (Ivan) Lorenzo, Edwin (Kristen) Santoni, Mark (Tori) Olson, Theresa (Jonathan) Baldwin, Eric (Liz) Olson, Chad (Stacy) Olson, Kari (Mike) Stern, Brian Olson, Shaze (Emily) Malave, Keisha (Andrew Wasson) Malave, Colt Olson, Nathanael (Kara Frew) Olson, Abigail (Ridge) Rhine, Nehemiah (Juliana) Olson, Alethia Olson, and Ezra Olson; great grandchildren, Brittney (Dario), Chelsey (Mario), Dante, Eliyanah, Jeremiah, Caleb, Micah, Chase, Madison, Mackenzie, Elliott, Braxton, Jacqlynn, and Knoxx; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Charmaine was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Maynard Kunschke.

A funeral service for Charmaine will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino with Rev. Mark Sabin officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery in Lunds at a later date. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday the 18 ^th from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm and again at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
