Obituary

Chauncey J. "Muttly" Webster II, age 60 of Keshena, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, in Appleton. Chauncey was born in Keshena on October 29, 1960, to the late James and Theresa (Bear) Webster, Jr. Chauncey grew up on the Menominee Indian Reservation until his wandering feet took him to Minnesota. He lived in Minnesota, and it was there he met the mother of his three children, Berta Fairbanks. Chauncey was an amazing artist and drawing was his passion, he loved to draw while jamming to music with his headphones on.  He also loved being outdoors, playing cards, playing dominoes, and watching movies. More than anything Chauncey loved spending time with family and friends, especially the ladies at Clarity Care.

Chauncey is survived by his son, Johnny Fairbanks; siblings, Christopher (Bernadette) Bear, James Webster III, Jacquelin Webster, Valerie (Jamie) Rupar, Vanessa (Antonio) Waukau, Darrell (April) Webster, Carrie Webster; brother-in-law Michael Pocan. He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Chauncey is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois "Jean" Webster Jr. and Theresa Bear; and the mother of his children, Berta Fairbanks; daughter, Shanna Fairbanks; son, Little Bear Fairbanks; sisters, Sirena Webster, Tonya Pocan; brother Michael Reiter; grandparents, James and Christine Webster Sr. and Moses (Mary Caldwell) Bear, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Mass for Chauncey will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Fr. David Barrett Parish Hall in Keshena on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until the procession leaves for the church on Friday. Family requests that all who attend are required wear a mask, in accordance to COVID-19 regulations.

Chauncey's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Clarity Care-Rogers Place of Appleton for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Chauncey during his stay. "U Girls Rock - keep an eye out for the Krackel"
