Cheryl K. "Charlie" Breitrick age 68, of Shawano, passed away after an aggressive 2-year battle with cancer on Thursday October 10, 2024, in Milwaukee. Charlie was born on October 8, 1956, in Shawano to the late Roger and Gwen (Schweitzer) Anvelink. She graduated from high school in Neenah, after high school she moved to Shawano and stayed with her grandparents. Charlie worked in the hospitality industry caring for others and was known for pouring beverages from time to time. In 1985, she met her soulmate and best friend, Dennis Breitrick. On September 18, 1992, in Shawano, Charlie was united in marriage to Dennis; their life together was an adventure, and they were thick as thieves. She was a feisty woman who enjoyed camping, seeing her grandchildren and family who were her world. Later in life, Charlie would camp at the Star Camp Site in Bowler and made numerous friends whom she loved and they loved her just as much. She battled cancer for 2 years and was a fighter with no-nonsense attitude and never sugar coated anything. She was a strong independent woman, and you'd know if she liked you or not. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Charlie will be deeply missed.

Charlie is survived by her husband, married for 32 years, together for 39 years, Dennis; Dennis's children who became like her own and called them son and daughter, Jamie Breitrick and Jennifer Seeborn; grandchildren, Jesse, Tabatha, Courtney, Pagie (Buck), Taylor, Ashley (Roger) and Ethan; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Valerie, Brenda (John), Karen (Jim) and Craig (Barb). She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Denise, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her brother Mark in infancy; sister, Lynn; and parents, Roger and Gwen.

A memorial service for Charlie will be held at noon on Saturday November 2, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
