Obituary

Cheryl Marie Koenig, age 59, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2016 in Shawano. Born in Shawano on June 4, 1957, she is the daughter of Beverly (Schroeder) Ebert and the late Charles A. Ebert. On August 12, 1978, she was united in marriage to Stephen Koenig in Shawano. Cheryl worked as the Postmaster in Oneida. She loved sports, playing volleyball for over 30 years and attending her family's sporting events. Cheryl was always thinking of others, and putting their needs before her own. Family was extremely important to her and she loved family get-togethers, especially Christmas. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Stephen; their two sons, Ryan and Lucas (Tracie) both of Shawano; four grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklyn, Brixon and Beckham; her mom, Beverly Ebert of Shawano; and her siblings, Dale Ebert of Florence, Connie (Bruce) Zeuske of Kaukauna, Debra (David) Gretzinger of Shawano and Kurt (Sarah) Ebert of Black Creek; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
