Christine Ann Rotter, age 73, of Cecil, passed away on Tuesday January 27, 2026, in Shawano. Christine was born on April 22, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois to Florence (Schielka) Zielinski and the late Richard Zielinski. On August 4, 1973, she was united in marriage to John Rotter in Chicago, Illinois. Together they lived on a farm for the past 30 years where they raised steers, chickens and a family. Christine loved the farm life and being in the country. She was heavily involved in 4-H with Dana and Ben. She was on the livestock committee in Shawano and was a leader for Townline 4-H. Christine enjoyed listening to the Ramones and watching Jeopardy; she knew all the answers and her family always told her to go on the show. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt; she will be deeply missed.

Christine is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Rotter; daughter, Dana Stark; Ben (Rotter) Pleshko, whom they raised as their own; grandchildren, Alara Stark and Zachary Stark; mother, Florence Zielinski; father-in-law, John Rotter; sisters, Connie (Tom) Bundy, Cathy (Joe) Willems and Carol (Vincent) D'Avria; brother-in-law, Bob Rotter; and sister-in-law, Marianne Rotter. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Christine is preceded in death by her father, Richard Zielinski; mother-in-law, Dolores Rotter; son-in-law, Jason Stark; brother-in-law, Tom Rotter; and sister-in-law, Debbie Rotter.

Visitation will be held at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Saturday February 7, 2026, from noon until the time of service. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Burial will be held at St. Martins Catholic Cemetery in Cecil.
