Christopher Michael "Chris" Bear, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 24, 2024, at his home in Zoar. Chris was born on December 13, 1956, to the late Merle Warrington and Theresa Bear in Madison, Wisconsin. On July 3, 1987, he was united in marriage to Bernadette Pamanet in Neopit. Chris enjoyed being outdoors either hunting, fishing or cutting wood; he was a true outdoorsman. He was known for being a fast smart talker that was very opinionated. Chris loved to cook his family meals and was a certified chef. He would always have rock n' roll music playing. Chris's children and grandchildren were his world. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
Chris is survived by his wife of 37 years, Bernadette; daughters, Yoland Bear and Ashley Bear; grandchildren, Tyler, Kinepoway, Awaehsaeh, Corey, Trey, Abry-Anna, Katelyn, Neesha, Demitria, Briah, Talon, Chrissy, Elijah and Josiah; siblings, Jim Black, Jacquelyn Webster and Vanessa Waukau; and special aunt, Diane Peré.
Chris is preceded in death by his children, Robert Bear and Crystal Bear; parents, Merle and Theresa; the man who made him who he was, James Webster; siblings, Serena Webster and Chauncey Webster.
The family of Chris will be having a traditional fire at the family residence N4505 Ceremonial Road, Zoar, starting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday July 24, 2024, until 6:00 pm on Friday July 26, 2024, for anyone who would like to pay their respects. In honor of Chris's passing on Wednesday July 24, 2024, is National Tequila Day, please have a shot in his honor.
