Christopher "Chris" Wayne Matchopatow, age 54, of Keshena, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, October 4, 2021.  Chris was born on August 30, 1967, to Sue Beauprey and the late Fredrick Matchopatow, Sr., in Shawano.  He attended Manawa High School.  During high school he played football and basketball.  Chris was a NASCAR and Packer fan.   He was known for being a big jokester, having fun with his friends and family, making people laugh and helping anyone who was in need.  He loved kids and was an uncle to all.

He will be greatly and deeply missed by everyone who loved him.

Chris is survived by: his mother, Sue; children, Logan Matchopatow, Samantha Mohawk, Alex "Rusty" Mohawk, and Xavier Matchopatow; his adopted children, William Matchopatow and Ana Gregerson; grandchildren, Kenai and Kaila Sackatook; sisters, Kellie (Brian) Matchopatow and Tahnee Caldwell; nieces and nephews, Arabella, Nicole (Maurice), Kameron (Jessica), Kenane (Austin), Alexis (Brad), Brooks, and Aja; special uncle, Keith "Cooter" Wilber; and special friend, Macie Hayes.  He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Fredrick Matchopatow; brother, Rick Matchopatow; and grandparents, Speedy and Merlin Wilber, Quinton and Maggie Beauprey, Bill LaRock and Mamie Matchopatow.

Traditional services for Chris will be held from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Sue Beauprey residence, N785 East Line Road in Keshena.
