Claire A. Tucker, age 79 of Neopit, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014. She was born on February 8, 1935 to the late Leonard and Mary (Lawe) Tucker. Claire was born in Keshena and lived in California, Hawaii and Chicago and returning to Neopit. She was the first female Marine from the Menominee Reservation. Claire is survived by: her daughter, Carla Tucker of Clintonville; one granddaughter; one brother, Norbert Tucker of Neopit; sisters, Norma Tucker of Keshena, Marsha Snow of Chicago; Linda (Roy) Peterson of Keshena. Claire is was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 brother, Weldon and Gary; and 2 sister, Janice and Denise. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. David McElroy O.Priem officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church.
