Clarence J. "Jake" Ziemer, age 76 of Shawano, formerly of Gresham, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at a local nursing home. Born on April 3, 1937 in the Town of Red Springs, he was the son of the late Henry and Rosalia "Cele" (Beilke) Ziemer. Jake was a veteran of the United States Army. He lived in the Gresham area most of his life where he did construction work as a pipe layer. He was a lifelong member of the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling. Jake is survived by: a sister, Margaret (Roger) Hoffman of Gresham; 2 brothers, Henry Ziemer of Gresham, Gerald (Donna) Ziemer of Portage, IN; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ziemer of Waupaca. Jake was preceded in death by: his parents; and 2 brothers, Roland and Robert (Rose) Ziemer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with the Rev. David Barrett. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
