IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cody Allan
Siolka
May 10, 1990 – October 27, 2024
Cody Allan Siolka passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Cody was born on May 10, 1990, to Michael "Mick" and Teresa "Terri" (Brown) Siolka in Shawano and graduated from Bonduel High School in 2008. He was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church. Cody truly grew up on Shawano Lake with his family and developed a passion for water-skiing, a hobby he shared with his dad. Cody was an exceptional water-skier and a member of the Shawano Ski Sharks Water Ski Show Team. Cody competed at the Wisconsin State Tournament with the team and as an individual. He would win various awards, including being the state champion. Cody also took his high-flying water-skiing skills around the world, including China and Lebanon. Off the water, Cody was a decorated wrestler and a long-time contributor to the wrestling community in the Shawano and Bonduel area. He started wrestling as a young boy--traveling around with his dad--and eventually competed at the state tournament in high school. It goes without saying that Cody was athletically gifted in addition to being one of the kindest, gentlest, and most compassionate human beings any of us have ever met.
After graduating, Cody would go on to get his associate's degree from NWTC. Cody most recently worked at Dental City in Green Bay as a data scientist. Everyone at Dental City loved working with Cody. He provided tremendous professional value and worked his way up as a vital member of the company. Cody also made those who worked there feel supported, valued, and appreciated. He was always there to lend a helping hand or a piece of advice. Every time people asked him about his day, he is known for saying, "Best day of my life." To Cody, everyday living was truly a gift.
His athletic pursuits would also continue, including triathlons, marathons, and a state championship in jiu-jitsu. It was during this time that Cody met the love his life, Amy Schowalter. They loved traveling around the country together and taking care of their dog--and Cody's best canine friend--Abby. Cody and Amy were united in marriage at the Grain Loft in Algoma on October 10, 2020, and moved to De Pere to start a family. The true star of Cody's life would turn out be his daughter, Hannah, who was born on December 8th, 2023. His family was his greatest accomplishment.
Cody was a beloved member of his community. All who knew him remember him as a thoughtful, curious, and caring man with a sharp and witty sense of humor. He was remarkably intelligent, observant, and caring. He would do anything for anyone and always would go out of his way to help others. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
Cody is survived by: his wife, Amy Siolka; daughter, Hannah Siolka; parents, Mick and Terri Siolka; sister, Lindsay Siolka; dog, Abby; maternal aunts and uncles, Nancy (John) Koeller, Allan Brown, Carey Forsyth; paternal aunts and uncles, Cherie (Tim) Schultz, Chuck (Marcy) Siolka, Julie (Doug) Harland, and Scott (Justine) Siolka; in-laws, Ashley Schowalter (Scott Kraus), Courtney Schowalter, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Schowalter, Dustin Schowalter (Hallie Halmakoff), Aaron (Kayla) Schowalter, Brittni Schowalter (Steven Provost), and Michele (Delos) Kohnhorst; nieces and nephews, Ryler, Zyker, Bryer, Brayden, Aubree, Olivia, Kameron, Karsyn, Kailor, and Hayes; and father-in-law, Richard Schowalter. He is further survived by other relatives, cousins, and countless friends.
