Colin "Pete" Tomow, Sr., age 65 of Keshena, entered the Spirit World on Sunday, March 23, 2014. Born on March 30, 1948 in Keshena, he was the son of the late Henry and Frances (Waupoose) Tomow. Pete worked for 3 years at the Menominee Tribal Police Department and 38 years for the Menominee Indian School District. When not working, he loved to hunt and fish. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa and will be sadly missed by many. Pete is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Angala; 6 children, Paul, Elizabeth (Mitchell), Karen (Dale, Jr.), Margaret, Colin Jr. (Darlene), William; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie, Adam, Maria, John Jr., Mason, Wyatt, Viviane, Dale III; 5 great-grandchildren, Desirae, Hailey, Jazmin, Kobe, Peirce; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Bernard "Joe" and Louis "Sonny" Tomow; and 4 sisters, Gertrude "Mindy", Elizabeth "Pachie", Lucille and Margaret. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David McElroy O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Woods Cemetery in West Branch in the spring. Visitation will be held at the Tomow residence located at W2214 Keshena Lake Road, Keshena from 1:00pm on Tuesday until the procession leaves for the church on Thursday.
