Cory J. "Chopsy" Ermatinger, age 51, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday October 27, 2012 in Green Bay. Born on May 11, 1961 she was the daughter of Ellen Cardish and the late Mervin Ermatinger. She lived most of her life in the Shawano and Keshena area. Cory was very involved with her children and loved her grandchildren more than anything. In her free time she enjoyed reading. Cory is survived by: three children, Jamie (John Skonieczny) Ermatinger of Cecil, Jill (Tony Perez) Ermatinger, and Ryan White both of Keshena; four grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Mason, and Rachel; her mother, Ellen (Dan Basadre) Cardish of West Virginia; two brothers David (Dawn) Ermatinger of Chicago and Jesse (Mandy) Basadre of West Virginia; She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Cory was preceded in death by: her father; and a brother, Mervin Ermatinger, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. Father David McElroy O Praem officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Woods Cemetery in West Branch. Visitation will be held at the Jill Ermatinger residence, located at W2480 Cty Hwy VV in Keshena, on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the procession leaves for the church on Tuesday. A Parish Wake service will be held at the house at 7 p.m. on Monday. Swedberg funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
