Obituary

Cristy Ann Dick, age 54, of Gillet, passed away on June 13, 2017 in Appleton. Born in Chicago, IL on July 24, 1962, Cristy is the daughter of Gwendolyn (LaRock) Olson and the late Vincent Olson. Cristy was married to Allen J. Dick in Shawano in 1981. For Allen and Cristy family always came first. Together, the couple had three children and opened their home to many other children throughout the years. Cristy loved children and was a "mother" to many. Always wanting to help others, she was loving, caring, understanding, and forgiving. She loved her Menominee Culture and passing that culture on to her children. In her free time she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, cooking out with family, beading, laughing and visiting with family and friends. Cristy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 36 years, Allen; their three children, Darwin Dick of Madison, Darla (Steven Kastning) Dick of Keshena and Shayla Dick of Shawano; two grandchildren, Allen and Aliviah; her mom, Gwendolyn Olson of Berry Lake; two sisters, Darcy (Andy De Vares) Bergh of Krakow and Amy (Dana) Alegria of Keshena as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Vincent Olson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Suring. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, June 16, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
