Obituary

Curtis A. Hammond, age 83, of Clintonville, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Neenah. Curtis was born in Shawano on February 17, 1935, son of the late Hollis and Maude (Ainsworth) Hammond.  Curtis lived and worked on the family dairy farm in the Town of Waukechon all his life until his retirement.  On May 21, 1960, Curtis was united in marriage to Lenore Cornelius at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in the Town of Waukechon.  Lenore preceded him in death on December 11, 2016.  Curtis was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, formerly Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
Curtis is survived by: his son, Michael "Mike" (Nancy) Hammond of Shawano; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother, Lee (Sandra) Hammond of Shawano.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lenore; one son, Marvin; and his parents, Hollis and Maude; and one sister, Marjorie Stoehr.
Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 until 2:00 pm when the procession leaves for Jerusalem Cemetery in the Lunds, where graveside services will be held with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Memorials may be directed to Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery Association.
