Curtis Michael Wheeler, age 43, sadly left our world on July 4, 2024, after losing his battle with ALS. Curtis was born on December 11, 1980, to Roxann Kahl and Allen Wheeler in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He enjoyed making Native American crafts, knives and dream catchers. Curtis liked making leather pouches. He loved working with his hands and building things. Curtis did flint napping, skateboarding and snowboarding, He was a talented artist. Curtis raised Olde English Bulldogs (Wheeler Fordge Kennels) along with his wife, Elizabeth and son, Austin. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Curtis was known for his wit and sense of humor. He worked in the residential construction field for many years.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Henn) Wheeler; sons, Brandon (Jessica) Wheeler, Austin Wheeler, Andrew Cardish and Nyviathin Wheeler; Curtis had four grandchildren he loved dearly; Izen Wheeler, Irene Wheeler, Isaac Wheeler and Iven Wheeler; mother, Roxann (Joe Stodall) Kahl; father, Allen Wheeler; stepmother, Dawn Wheeler; sister, Bridgette Wheeler; brothers, Paul (Ashley) Seehafer and Alex Stodall; grandfather, Dennis (Kathy) Thompson. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that became family.
Curtis is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lois Thompson, Robert Kahl, Dorthy Hammel and James Wheeler; sister, Kaitlyn Czaplewski; uncles, Galan "Shorty" Dobbs, Michael Kahl and Thomas Smalley; aunt, Penny Kahl Ferguson; and adopted aunt, Cynthia Monroe.
There will be a service with a celebration of life to follow at noon on Saturday August 10, 2024, at Old Mill Park, Park Street in Marion, Wisconsin (one block behind the Pella Town Hall).
