Rev. Dallas Ray Coats, age 76, of Burnsville, MN (formerly of Morgan Siding, Gresham, WI) passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 at Augustana Care Center in Apple Valley, MN. Dallas was born August 5, 1943 in Effingham, Illinois, to the late Raymond and Hazel Loraine (Hall) Coats.  He graduated from Effingham High School and North Central University in Minneapolis, MN.  He also attended Midwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Turner on June 6, 1964 in Minneapolis, MN.Dallas was an ordained Assemblies of God minister. He pastored churches in Eagle Bend, MN, Valparaiso, IN, Fairmont, MN, Benson MN,  Horicon, WI, Spooner, WI and Morgan Assembly of God in Gresham, WI.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children,  Erlene (Doug) Johnson of Seattle, WA, and Bruce (Sheryl) Coats of  Findlay, OH, and  son-in-law, Alan Kachic of Richland Center, WI; six grandchildren, Meridith Johnson, Fort Smith, AR, Kaitlyn Johnson, Seattle, WA,  Christopher Johnson, Fort Polk, LA, Brittany (Todd) Wells, St. Louis, MO, Rachel (Seth) Cook, Sanford, N.C., Benjamin (Lauren) Coats, Findlay, OH;  five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine May and Deloris Royer, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Coats all of Burnsville, MN.  He is also survived by an aunt and an uncle, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Denise Kachic.

Funeral service will be held at Family of Christ Church, 600 S. Main, Clintonville at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 with Rev. Bruce Coats officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 and 10:00-11:00 am at the church prior to the funeral.
