Dallas D. Heinz, age 86 of the Town of Lessor, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in DePere. Born on June 8, 1926 in the Town of Hartland, he was the son of the late Reinhard and Martha (Kuechenmeister) Heinz. Dallas grew up in the Bonduel area. On April 7, 1945 he was united in marriage to Ann Christensen in Shawano. The couple lived most of their married life in the Town of Lessor where Dallas owned and operated a farm. He also drove semi, worked as a cheesemaker and worked in the warehouse for Super Valu Foods. He was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor. In his free time he enjoyed playing sheepshead. Dallas is survived by: his wife of 67 years, Ann; 3 sons, James (Helen) of Little Suamico, Dallas, Jr. (Linda) of Green Bay, Stephen (Joyce) of Oconto Falls; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria Magee of Shawano. Dallas was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor with the Rev. Dave Morton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday after 9:30am until the time of the service.
