Dana "Snake Eyes" Waubanascum, Sr., age 54, of Middle Village, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021.  Dana was born in Shawano on September 21, 1966, son of Edmund Waubanascum and the late Audrey (Waukau) Waubanascum.  Dana is a graduate of Menominee Indian High School and was employed by Menominee Tribal Enterprises operating the green chain.  In his free time, he enjoyed attending pow wows and being outdoors, spending time in the woods.  He loved sports and played softball and football.  More than anything he loved spending time with his family.

Dana is survived by: his children, Robert Bruce, Dana (Nicole) Waubanascum, Jr., Kaneka (Frederick) Freeman, Andrienne (Chase) Waubanascum, and Nicole (Eric) Tomow; 20 grandchildren; his father, Edmund Waubanascum; and siblings, Tracy Waubanascum, Edmund Waubanascum, Jr., Randy Waubanascum, Wendy Waubanascum, Toni Waubanascum, Marilyn Waubanascum, and Ron Brown.  He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Audrey; step-mother, Rose Notinokey; and siblings, Claudine and Shawn.

A funeral service for Dana will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Old Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Zoar.  Visitation will be held at the church beginning Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
