He was born on November 9, 1950 to the late Lee and Julia (Granger) Demaskie in Milwaukee. Growing up, Dan was quite the entrepreneur. His first ever business was collecting aluminum cans and selling them for as much as he could get. Dan was known for being a talented musician and was very skilled at playing the guitar. He drew inspiration from rock music in his youth and gradually loved Blues music and many other genres. He took joy in playing music for his church. Dan was a decorated veteran in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam war. He became a philosophical man and spent many hours having deep conversations with his children and siblings. On July 8, 2013, he was united in marriage to Else Marie. One of his favorite hobbies was traveling the U.S. with his beloved wife. Dan also loved to watch and play Baseball. He was noted for having a wicked snow curve ball, which he aimed at "evil targets." Dan will be missed by all who loved him.
