Daniel Lee Witthuhn, age 84, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 5, 2021. He was born in Outagamie County on December 6, 1936, to the late Ray and Joyce (Armitage) Witthuhn. On February 15, 1958, Daniel was united in marriage to Joanne Ciesielczyk in Navarino. Dan worked as a heavy equipment operator for Murphy's Construction for many years. His hobbies included gun collecting, playing cribbage, restoring tractors, gardening, working outdoors, and traveling to Florida with Joanne.

Daniel is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Joanne Witthuhn; his daughters Laurie (Ben) Mennella and Diane (Ralph) Hendrickson; his sons Daniel (Barb) Witthuhn, Terry Witthuhn, Kevin (Kelly) Witthuhn, and Cory (Carol) Witthuhn; grandchildren, Desiree (Wes) Magle, Autumn Witthuhn, Allison (Dave) Loehman, Adam (Samantha Mozal) Mennella, Brooke (Eddie) Holland, Tom (Andrea) Sherman, Melissa (Zac) Hull, Kyle Witthuhn, Kendra Witthuhn, Kaylyn Witthuhn, Mitch (Courtney) Socha, Adam (Marcia) Socha, and Jena Socha; great grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Jonathon Magle, Natalie and Neil Loehman, Raylee Holland, Sophia and Wyatt Sherman, Trenton, Shawna, and Zeanna Hull, and Clara and Beckett Socha; and his siblings, Bonnie (Jim) Sitar, Christine (Curt) Bjorklund, Steve (Janet) Witthuhn, Tom (Faye) Witthuhn, and Barry (Barb) Witthuhn. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by a son, Robin Witthuhn, a son-in-law, Ben Mennella, and his parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Fr. Scott Valentyn officiating and a luncheon immediately following the mass.  Burial will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Navarino.  Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
