Darin James Rabideaux "DJ, Deej, Dooray" age 57, was guided onto his next journey on Monday, December 5, 2022, in Sheboygan, after a 7.5-year inspiring battle with cancer. He beat cancer by never letting it conquer his fighting spirit. "Warrior Strong! No one fights alone." He was born on December 29, 1964, to Franklin J. Rabideaux Sr. and the late Leila Marie Rabideaux (Waupoose). On June 20, 2022, Darin was united in marriage to his middle school sweetheart and best friend, Brenda Sabourin, in Sheboygan. Darin had an unstoppable, child-like personality, he was youthful, playful and full spirited. As a creative person, Darin enjoyed using his artistic abilities to draw, paint, build, tinker and be our jack of all trades.  He sure loved to cook for his family. He could often be found putting a plate of food in front of someone while you heard him say "eat". The Dallas Cowboys was his favorite football team to watch and he loved getting a hard time about it. Darin loved working out at the YMCA and the people he met there. Camping at Aunty Rose's on Legend Lake was one of his favorite things, and one of the many memories we all have of him. Darin was proud of his native heritage and culture. He enjoyed being an administrator for his Metastatic Prostate Cancer Facebook group where he was an inspiration and beloved member. We all knew him as the favorite brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His greatest legacy, and what he was most proud of, were his children and grandchildren.  They were such a source of pride, love, and life for him and he will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; his father, Frank (Diana) Rabideaux; children; Majesta Rabideaux, Miranda Rabideaux and Mariah (William) Moseley; grandchildren, Annabella Seibert, Aliyah Seibert, Wesley Kuba, Willa Kuba, Leiyana Rabideaux, Mia Paulson and Phoenyx Moseley; brothers and sisters, Michael (Brad) Waupoose, Renee (Eric) Baryenbruch, Cheryl (Jeff) Lebakken, Janice Rabideaux, Kristine (John) Rabideaux, Paula Rabideaux, Thomas (Deana) Rabideaux, Sara (Ginny) Rabideaux, Tara (Ryan) Johanek, April (Roger) Labombard,  Ryan Rabideaux, Jared Rabideaux, and Lacey; He is further survived by many adored nieces and nephews; everyone who had the pleasure to know him; his beloved pets, Teeka, Tikki, and Sage; his beloved YMCA family; the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center of Sheboygan team; and the mother of his children, Christine Freeman.

Darin is preceded in death by his mother, Leila Marie (Waupoose) Rabideaux; brothers, Donald Rabideaux, and Franklin J. Rabideaux, Jr.; several aunties and uncles; extended family and friends; and some of his fellow prostate cancer brothers.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at St. Michael's David Barrett Hall until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Myron will tell the Journey story at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2022.

A very special thank you to his team at the Vince Lombardi Cancer center in Sheboygan to his doctors Dr. Kumar, Dr. Hussein, Dr. Stan, and Dr. Tomasini; his nurse navigator, Kylene, and some of the other selfless nurses and staff that he adored endlessly, and boy he sure looked forward to flirting with and being spoiled by all of you during his visits: Shannon, Brenda, Stephanie and Mandy . We would also like to give thanks to the YMCA where he enjoyed working and working out including his special friends in the Livestrong program.
