Darleen Joy Bubolz, age 79 of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Darleen was born on August 12, 1941 to the late Bernice Bussian and Elmo Nelson, Sr. in Clintonville. On April 23, 1959, Darleen was united in marriage to Eli Herman Bubolz. She sold Avon for 36 years where she became a member of the President's Club, earned many awards and "Ladies". Darleen was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making all types of crafts, including creations developed on her own. Darleen's family tradition will be carried on which was the making of Christmas candy and cookies with her daughters and granddaughters. She enjoyed country music especially Alan Jackson. Some other things Darleen enjoyed were camping, traveling around the United States, light houses, and cardinals. She loved to get together with her family and friends and enjoyed her grandchildren tremendously. Darleen had a caring and gentle soul and touched the hearts of so many others over the years, she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Darleen is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Barry) Galleske and Jody (Steve) Hammond both of Shawano; grandchildren, Jeff (Nicole) Korth of Shawano, Heidi Korth of Green Bay, Greg Galleske of Shawano, Stephenie (Craig) Pieper of Shawano, and Angela (Douglas Jr.) Beyer of Shawano; great-grandchildren, Ella, Jax, Brock, Abigail, and Madisyn; sisters-in-law, Darlene Moesch and Sharon Nelson; and brother-in-law, Gordon Patzer. She was further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, spouse, and siblings, Elmo "Butch" Nelson, Jr., and Cheryl Patzer.

A funeral service for Darleen will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Mark Drengler officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
