Darrell Len Erickson, age 60, of the Town of Red Springs, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Darrell was born in Shawano on July 8, 1961, the son of Lloyd D. and Emma Jane (Welch) Erickson. Darrell served in the United States Army National Guard. Darrell was better known as "Santa", and in true Santa fashion, he was united in marriage to Carrie Lee Fritz the day after Christmas on December 26, 2015. The couple were members of St. John Lutheran Church of Hermansfort.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carrie of the Town of Red Springs; his children, Daryl (sig. other, Sharae Bourdon) Erickson of Shawano, Amy (sig. other, Rick Smith) Erickson of Neenah; stepchildren, Heath Siewert of Gresham, Mitchell Siewert of Randolph, Tiara (Adam) Hilke-Burke of Markesan, Stephanie (Robert) Porter of Queen Creek, AZ, Samantha (Austin) Hiemstra of Brandon; grandchildren, Nevaeh, MyKenzie, Austin, Raiden, Pierce, Hayven, Haskell Jr., Drayson, as well as 11 more inherited, newest to come in April 2022.  Darrell has two siblings, Donna (Don) Koepsel of Bailey's Harbor, Danny Erickson of Milwaukee, along with another brother-in-law, Scott Fritz of Antigo.  Darrell is further survived by numerous other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Emma Jane, along with two brothers, Donald and Dean Erickson, and stepfather Elmer Grosskopf.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at St. John Lutheran Church – Hermansfort with Rev. Steve Conradt officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham on Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery.
