Obituary

Darrell J. Madosh, age 68, of Neopit, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Darrell was born on April 14, 1953, in Keshena to the late Clifford Madosh, Sr. and Ella (Sanapaw) Madosh. On January 14, 2014, Darrell was united in marriage to Louise "Baby Lou" Madosh. They have been blessed for the past 25 years together – laughter, tears, joy, and sorrow, they pledged their love and life together.

Darrell enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, going on road trips to visit family in Baraga, Michigan, traveling to casinos, and traveling places with Zeb and Toni Spruce. He loved the lake lot, camping, being together with family, grandchildren, and being the camp chef. Darrell always took care of everyone, but most of all, Darrell had a passion for music and was a musician for several bands: Redfield, Wolf River Band, and Thunder Country. He had the love for music since 1964 and his voice will carry on forever. Darrell was a caring, loving husband and loved his family, grandchildren and friends. He made others feel special, happy and was kindhearted.

Darrell worked for The Community Health Representative program (CHR) serving the Menominee community since the Restoration Act came into effect, caring for the community's health needs. Darrell worked for Menominee Tribal Enterprises of 35 years in the sawmill and later became a Forester, dedicated to maintaining the health of our forests.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Louise Madosh; children, Colleen (Matt) Scheller, Anita Bauer, Yolanda (Robert) Shawanokasic, Violet Madosh, James (Winter) Davids, and Thomas Davids; grandchildren, Peter, Waylon, Anthony, Brandi, Rayshawn, Shia, Bemasek, Sylis, Glaycier, Gru, and Zara; brothers and sisters, Wilfred Madosh, Cecilia Madosh, Darwin (Karen) Madosh, Melody (Joe) Summers, Earl (Becky) Madosh, and Carol (Wayne) Madosh.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ella; brothers, Clifford, Jr., Randall, Calvin, Milton, and Kendall; sisters Harriet, Laura, Marilyn, Theresa, Sharon, and Jerrilyn.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Visitation will be held after 3:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Neopit Community Center until the time of service at the church on Wednesday.
