Obituary

Darwin Lee Thunder, Jr., age 1, of Keshena, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Darwin was born on February 11, 2015 in Shawano, the son of Darwin L. Thunder, Sr. and Onawa Wahsquonaikezhik. He was an outgoing little boy who was always smiling. He loved being outdoors, playing in the water, and playing peek-a-boo with his family.

Darwin is survived by: his mom and dad, Onawa Wahsquonaikezhik and Darwin L. Thunder, Sr.; two sisters, Harmony Wahsquonaikezhik and KayceeLouise Thunder; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Annette Wahsquonaikezhik; his paternal grandmother, Donna Thunder; his aunts and uncles, Cheyenne (John Miller, Jr.)Wahsquonaikezhik, Shakoka (Phillip) Waupoose, Ramon Wahsquonaikezhik, Jesse (Caitlyn) Wahsquonaikezhik, Ernest (Taylor Chevalier) Wahsquonaikezhik, Kyle Thunder, and Thomas Thunder.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dewey Thunder, Jr. and his uncle Shawahossoway Wahsquonaikezhik.

Traditional services will be held at the Zoar Ceremonial Building from 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 until the procession leaves for Zoar Burial Grounds on Friday, July 1, 2016. Martin Thunder and Marwin "Pete" Wynos will be the officiants.
