Obituary

David Lawrence Corn, Sr., age 73, of Keshena, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. David was born in Keshena on February 2, 1945, the son of the late Arnold "Bill" and Joyce (Grignon) Corn, Sr.  David enlisted in the United States Airforce, serving during the Vietnam era.  On December 30, 2017 he was united in marriage to Grace "Bea" Frechette Wilber at St. Michael Catholic Church.  David was the director of the Menominee Tribal Utilities until his retirement.  He was a member of both St. Michael and St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Veterans of the Menominee Nation and the Keshena American Legion Post # 497.  David also enjoyed hunting, baseball, basketball, cutting wood, golfing, taking walks in his yard and spending time with his family, especially with his grandkids.
David is survived by: his wife, Grace "Bea" Corn; children, David C. (Jill Pansier) Corn, Jr. and Candace L. (Greg) Wilber Waupekeney; step children, Bruce A. (Shannon) Wilber, Sr., Anthony C. (Vicky) Wilber, Sr., Bryan A. (Mary) Wilber, Deborah (Thomas) Boelter, Dawn M. Wilber and Michael A. (Sheila Tousey) Wilber; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Carla Wilber, Roger "Rudy" (Pat) Corn, LeeAnn Corn, Carrie (Leon) Skenandore, Ronald (Debra) Corn, Sr., Olga (Alex Sr.) Peters, William (Laura) Corn, Sr., Susan (David) Blong and James (Rhonda) Corn; his sister-in-law, Jean Corn; five Godchildren, David Frechette, Tracey Corn, Delaney Boelter, Ann James and Nicholas Corn; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: four grandchildren, Anthony "Tim" Wilber, Nikki Wynos, BradLee Wilber and Holden Vigue; his parents, Arnold "Bill" and Joyce Corn, Sr.; his sister, Mary Corn; his brother, Arnold "Percy Korn" Corn; brother-in-law, Franklin "June" Wilber; nephews and niece, Bobby "BJ" Peters, Derek Corn and Darylee Reiter.
Funeral services for David will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Joel Jores with military rites performed by the Veterans of the Menominee Nation and the Keshena American Legion Post #497. Friends may call at the family residence at N876 Hwy 47-55 in Keshena after 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2018 until the procession leaves for the church on Friday. There will be a traditional prayer service at the residence on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm.
