IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Porter
"Dave" Clark
March 23, 1957 – April 21, 2025
David Porter "Dave" Clark, age 68, born in Shawano, WI, on March 23, 1957, passed away on April 21, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Duffy Clark; his brother, Matthew Clark; and his in-laws, John and Lucy Paiser.
Dave is survived by his wife and love of his life, Susie, and their adored cat, Ziggy.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon (Don) Anderson; brother-in-law, Don (Bev) Paiser; and sister-in-law, Debra Contreras. He leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Amy, Hannah, and Nate Neumann; Leslie (Shane), Miley, and Braxton Buckbee (Taylor Swenson); Scott (Katie), Evan, and Honor Anderson; Robert and Heather Paiser (David Campbell); Deja Dancy (Jason Smith); Mercedes Contreras (Kevin Bard); and Catherine Smith (Brandon).
On June 21, 1985, Dave married his high school sweetheart, and together they built their life in their hometown of Shawano, rooted in love and family.
In his far-too-short 68 years, Dave lived a fulfilled and well-rounded life — the kind anyone would be lucky to have.
He was a teacher and mentor to his family and all who surrounded him.
Dave was dedicated to his career at Shawano County Lakeland Industries as a Vocational Specialist until his retirement.
Outside of work, Dave was a lover of music and a devoted vinyl record collector. He was a lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) and a Wisconsin State Handicap Champion. Even more important to him was the time he spent — and the respect he earned — working with new shooters at the Shawano Gun Club. He will be well remembered.
Dave was also an avid cyclist, skier, and golfer. He enjoyed snowmobile racing and was a passionate car enthusiast, recently earning his 20-year membership with the Porsche Club of America.
A private celebration of his life will be held.
Wherever there was Dave, there was Sue. Wherever there was Sue, there was Dave.
You are the best husband, best person, and my best friend. The love of my life… until we hold hands again.
