David F. Katzenmeyer, age 49, of the Town of Belle Plaine, passed away on January 31, 2015 in Shawano. David was born on September 6, 1965 to Frank E. and Donna L. (Darrow) Katzenmeyer in Shawano. David had worked on the Edward Krueger farm, at Reinhart Foods in Shawano, and was currently employed at Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton where he has worked for the past 14 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed all outdoor activities including, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, and shooting trap. David was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. David is survived by: his daughter, Lea (Mike Batusic) Katzenmeyer of Shawano; his life time partner, Paula Bergsbaken of Shawano; his parents, Frank and Donna Katzenmeyer of Shawano; two sisters, Judith (Steve) Schreiber of Menasha and Annette (special friend Scott) Hammond of Cecil; his god son, Ryan Martin; two special daughters, Bridget (Richie) Reed and Brittany Schulz, both of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Devon, Raelee, Kaeleen, Gaven, and Ava; Paula's parents, Gerald Schulz, Sr. and Donna (Jerome) Duffeck; Paula's siblings and their spouses, Dave and Katie Schulz, Christine and Pete Hauterbrook, Melissa and Rick Oestreich, Jeff and Sheila Duffeck, Marybeth and Allen Kindt, and Jenna and Randy Oestreich. He is further survived by aunts and uncles, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Frank and Hattie Katzenmeyer; his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Eldine Darrow; his Godfather Rev. Dan Schnorr; Paula's brothers, Jeffrey and Jerald Schulz and Jay Duffeck. A funeral service for David will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 6, 2015, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Ted Andrada as the officiant. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday February 5th and again, at the church, on Friday, from 9:30am until the time of the service.
