David Lastofka, age 50 of the Town of Wescott, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 31, 2012. Born on August 5, 1962 in Appleton, he was the son of Elayne (Hopfensperber) Lastofka and the late Louis Lastofka. On June 21, 2007 he was united in marriage to Nettie Rottier in Navarino. The couple made their home in the Town of Wescott where David worked as a landscaper. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. David is survived by: his wife, Nettie; 2 daughters, Brittney Hoh of Menominee Falls, Jessica Danke of Fremont; his mother, Elayne Lastofka of Appleton; a brother, Jim Lastofka of Appleton; and a sister, Cynthia McCafferty of Appleton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Randy Stocksdale officiating.
