David E. Sadler, Sr., age 93, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 in Shawano. David was born in Buffalo, NY on May 31, 1924, the son of the late Paul and Clara (Helwig) Sadler. On December 8, 1945, David was united in marriage to Delilah Bluemke in Shawano. She preceded him in death in 2012. David was a lifelong resident of Shawano and worked at Consolidated Badger for 10 years and then Phoenix Door for more than 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. David was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
David is survived by: Larry (Marsha) Sadler, Mike Sadler, Joe H. (Mary K.) Sadler and Greg (Shirley) Sadler; grandchildren, Christy (Tim) Brandt, Troy Sadler, Paul Sadler, Lisa Sturycz, Jennifer (Curtis) Hoffman, Jessica Sadler and Bruce Sadler; great-grandchildren, Shaun, Marissa (Cameron), Frank, Ashton, Seth, Jaxx, Autumn, Seth and Draven; great great-grandchildren, Andre, Austin, Kassandra, Dameon, Bailey, Cashton and Kyla; and one niece, Donna Woods of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Delilah; two sons, Jim and David, Jr; one grandson, Shane; and his sister Violet.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
