David Carl Zeeman, Sr., age 70, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015. David was born on November 15, 1944 to the late Carl and Lorraine (Malliet) Zeeman in New London. David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. On June 21, 1969, he was united in marriage to Merry Conklin at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. He was an avid gardner, enjoyed black powder rifle hunting, cooking, and crocheting. David was an amazing father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. David is survived by his significant other, Sharon Stein; three children, Rachelle (Daniel) Lindsley of DePere, Dottie Zeeman of Green Bay, and John Zeeman of Manawa; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly (Joel) Lane, Robert Gleason Jr., Gabrielle Gleason, Krystine Gleason, Damion Gleason, Amanda Gleason, Aprill Gleason, Ashley Gleason, Bradley Zeeman, Jocelyn Zeeman, and Katelyn Zeeman; 10 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother and sisters, Beverly Sims of Altoona, LeAnna Zeeman of Shawano, Carolyn VanWestenburg of Tigerton, Randy Zeeman of Oshkosh and Cindy (Don) Wood of CO. as well as his former wife, Merry. He was preceded in death by one son, David Zeeman, Jr. and his parents. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Lay Minister Lois Graper officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Shawano V.F.W. Post #2723.
