Dawn Hamilton, age 41, was tragically taken from all of us on Friday, December 9, 2016, with so much yet to do in this world. Dawn was born on July 6, 1975 in Oak Park, Illinois to Johnny and Jean (Struchen) Wooten. What kind of girl loves a trip to a scrap yard to hand pick 9,000 pounds of scrap iron and then help build it into a 40 foot T-Rex Dinosaur? What girl has such a passion for old motorcycles that she would spend many of her days helping build them from scratch, let alone ride the Cannonball in a 1913 wicker side car, across the continental United States in 15 days? Or place 22 tons of granite rock in just two days while building a gator pen? All while raising five children and being the best mom in the whole world. Everywhere Dawn went, she would light up any room, create laughter, all while looking like the queen of the prom, yet never putting herself above anyone. Dawn was one of the most modest, caring, giving, and loving ladies the world has ever seen. If there ever was an angel on earth, this was Dawn. There was so much more that she desired to do for her children & the many lives she touched or could have touched in the future. One thing is for certain, when Dawn enters heaven, all the stars in the night sky will brighten to such a dazzling brilliance, never before seen, that surely, it will give us the sense that we are in heaven with her.
Dawn is survived by: her fiancé, Stephen "Doc" Hopkins of Bonduel; five children, Whitney Hamilton of Eau Claire, Hunter, Drake, and Raine Hamilton, of Bonduel, and Penelope Dudzik of Tigerton; her parents, Johnny and Jean Wooten of Mississippi; her brother, Jason Wooten of Illinois; her "adopted" brother Shawn Struchen of Illinois; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
A funeral service for Dawn will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, December 16, 2016, at Hope Community Church, located at 302 Tristan Dr. in Shawano, WI 54166. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00am until the time of the service.
