Dean John "Buck" Page, age 68 of Lyndhurst, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home. Born on August 31, 1943 in Shawano, he was the son of the late John and Esther (Rupenthal) Page. After graduating from high school, Buck enlisted with the United States Air Force. After discharge from service, he worked for J.J. Grunewald Excavating for 43 years. Three years ago, Buck retired from driving truck but only lasted 2 weeks before going back to work. In his free time he enjoyed watching the Gresham Gophers, the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers and cutting wood. Buck also enjoyed visiting with his friends at the bar and making the rounds for Sunday Sign-In. Buck is survived by: 2 daughters, Melodie (fiancé Carl Waubanascum) Page of Shawano, Tammy (fiancé, Mike Olson) Page of Neenah; 2 sons, Lee Page of Gresham, Scott Gassner of Little Chute; a special friend, Mary Ready; 4 grandchildren, Christopher, Paige, Abby, Tanner; a brother, Dale (Helen) Page; sister, Delores Wasserford; and his former wife, Karen Page. Buck was preceded in death by: his daughter in infancy, Deanna Page; his parents; 2 sisters, Connie Page, Joan Kessen; and a brother, Fritz Page. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with the Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano with military honors by American Legion Post 390 of Gresham. Family and friends may call at the funeral home in Gresham on Thursday from 4-8pm, and on Friday after 9am until the time of the service. A Legion Prayer Service will be held at 7pm Thursday.
