IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deanna Lyn
Zempel
August 10, 1968 – June 29, 2019
Deanna Lyn Zempel, 50, of Shawano, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by her family after a 30 year battle with Crohns Disease. She was born on August 10, 1968 to Audrey (Loop) Zempel of Beaver and Dean Zempel of Porterfield. Deanna attended Coleman Schools.
She enjoyed gardening, and was especially proud of her beautiful flowers and tomato plants. She enjoyed cooking and baking, always trying new recipes and always hoping to do her own cookbook. She liked camping with family, yearly trips to Hodag with her dad, fishing, and really loved to draw.
She is survived by: her only child, Joshua (Tammy Dietz); her two grandchildren, Sage and Isaiah who she loved dearly; her parents, Audrey Zempel and Dean (Yvonne) Zempel; her brothers, Allan (Dawn), Darynn (Rose), James (Tanya), Aaron Phillipson (Jeremy), and Stephen (Kortney); her sisters, Melanie (Jeremy) Buenning and Tricia (Chris Bohm) Zempel; step-sister, Kim (Jim) Tappendorf; step-brother, Tod (Teresa) Zempel; many nephews and nieces who loved their Auntie Nana especially Kasten; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 3 Little Bees, 824 E. Green Bay Street, Shawano.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent's for their patience and wonderful care, as well as to all the doctors, nurses, and friends who cared for her over the years.
