Deborah Ann "Debbie" Wayka, age 54 of Neopit, passed away Tuesday, October 01, 2013 after a long illness. Born on March 4, 1959 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Louise "Marie" (Waupoose) Wayka. Debbie enjoyed playing two-card, cooking, camping, bowling, riding in the woods, fishing, watching her family play softball, watching the Packers and Brewers, playing Yahtzee, and spending time with her five grandchildren. Debbie is survived by: her 3 children, Mitchell Oshkosh of Keshena, Catherine "Katie" (Gary Pyawasay) Oshkosh of Shawano, Tracy Oshkosh of Keshena; and her 5 grandchildren, Aiyana, Leyla, Mitchell Jr., Maximus and Christian. She is further survived by: 8 siblings, Dorla (John) Boivin, Sr., of Neopit, Caroline (Roland) Caldwell of Middle Village, Curtis (Theona) Wayka of Keshena, Deneane (Cubby) Madosh of Neopit, Myron (Barb) Wayka, Sr. of Neopit, Daniel Wayka, Sr. of Keshena, Richard Wayka of Neopit, Janel Wayka of Neopit; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by: her parents, Ernest and Marie Wayka; 5 brothers, Ernest Jr., Daryl, Marvin, John, Ronald "Feller"; and a sister, Karen Wayka-Sackatook. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Jolene Wayka residence located at W6522 River Street in Neopit from 2:00pm on Wednesday until the procession leaves for the church on Friday.
