Deena "Blimps" Marie Basina, age 60, began her journey to the spirit world on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at her home in Green Bay. She was born on October 5, 1961, to Delia (Wilber) Basina and the late Varlin Basina Sr. in Shawano. Blimps attended Menominee Indian High School. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. Blimps enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and making them laugh. She also loved beading, going to the casino, watching videos on TikTok, and anything triple chocolate. She also loved watching horror movies.

She is survived by her mother, Delia; children, Jamie Basina, Brett Basina, Sasha (Sal) Basina, Wesley Rutledge, Crystal (Brandon) Basina-Smith, Christina Basina, and Issaeh Basina; grandchildren, Amado, Fransisco, Mahwaehsaeh, Dalia, Salvador, Everly, Monica, Angel, Gabriel, Baby Hawkins, Elias and Orion; brothers and sisters, Marlin (Karla) Basina, Julie (Tony) Basina, Varlin Basina Jr., Bart (Lynn) Basina; eight nieces and nephews including special niece, Alinda (Eugene) Basina. Blimps is further survived by a loving and caring extended family.

Blimps is preceded in death by her father, Varlin Basina Sr., granddaughter, Ava Louise Basina; and special friends, Sandra Miller and William "J.R." Smith.

A traditional funeral service will be held at the Basina family home, N1613 State HWY 47 in Neopit at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 9, 2022. Public visitation will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the residence until the service on Friday.
