Obituary

Delores E. Bogda Schmeisser, age 90, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in Appleton. Delores was born in the Town of Seneca, Shawano County, on February 8, 1927 to the late Joe P. and Frances (Kort) Aschenbrenner. On May 12, 1951, Delores was united in marriage to Ferdinand Bogda. She worked at the Shawano Red Owl as a check-out clerk and retired in 1979. In 1981, she and Ferdinand moved to Pickeral Lake. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1994. Delores moved back to Shawano, and on September 19, 1997, she was united in marriage to Ralph Schmeisser. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2015. Delores was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.

Delores is survived by: her son, Lee Bogda of Shawano; two step-daughters, Beverly Merath of Green Bay and Lynn (Jim) Spiegel of Shawano. She is further survived by three sisters, Jean (Carl) Theil, Sharon (Marvin) Herman and Germaine Tischauser.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ferdinand and Ralph, her parents, one brother, Bob Aschenbrenner and one sister, Arlene Schmeisser.

Memorial services for Delores will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Dr. Timm Griffin officiating. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the services. Memorials may be directed to St. James Lutheran Church or St. James Lutheran School.
